eRecording — also called electronic recording — is the process of submitting property documents like deeds, mortgages, oil and gas leases, easements, and liens to a county recorder’s office over the internet instead of by hand or mail. It is supported by laws such as the Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act (URPERA), which treats electronic records as legally equivalent to paper originals

The Monroe County Ohio Recorder’s office accepts electronically recorded documents. Only those document types accepted for recording through the regular mail are also acceptable for eRecording.
