E-RECORDING INFORMATION

Monroe County Ohio e-Records!

eRecording — also called electronic recording — is the process of submitting property documents like deeds, mortgages, oil and gas leases, easements, and liens to a county recorder’s office over the internet instead of by hand or mail. It is supported by laws such as the Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act (URPERA), which treats electronic records as legally equivalent to paper originals

eRecording’s purpose is to make property document recording faster, safer, and more efficient, while its benefits include legal validity, cost savings, security, and environmental advantages — making it a key tool in modern real estate and land records management.

The Monroe County Ohio Recorder’s office accepts electronically recorded documents. Only those document types accepted for recording through the regular mail are also acceptable for eRecording.

Key Benefits

Many Monroe County Recorder Office customers such as mortgage companies, attorneys, oil and gas leasing companies, banks and title companies can upload and submit documents through trusted submitting vendors.

Individuals cannot eRecord documents directly. They need to work through a professional intermediary.

Monroe County Ohio currently accepts eRecordings from five submitting vendors. To compare prices and to begin eRecording with our office, contact
